No — anti-damp paint is only a temporary fix and does not solve the underlying problem. The paint holds back the moisture pressure for a while, but blistering and flaking soon start again. For a permanent solution, the source of the damp must be cut off with DampStop injection and the surface renewed with HydroFix damp-proofing plaster. The correct order: first strip the old plaster and apply HydroFix; once the plaster has dried (24–48 hours), inject DampStop.
