Definitive Solution

A dry, healthy, permanently protected wall

Rising damp problem - damp stains, mould and blistering paint on the lower part of a wall

What Is Rising Damp?

Water from the ground rises up through the wall via capillary channels. This physical phenomenon occurs in almost every building material, including concrete. Ignoring damp makes the problem worse, and superficial fixes quickly backfire.

Blistering Paint & PlasterBlistering and crumbling on the lower parts of walls
Salt EfflorescenceWhite salt deposits (saltpetre)
Mould & Musty OdourMould growth that threatens your health
Cold & Damp WallsHeat loss and wasted energy

Why Is One Product Not Enough?

Rising damp is a three-layer problem. A single product addresses only one face of it — the rest keeps working against you.

Paint / Plaster Only

  • Moisture keeps flowing underneath
  • Stains return within 3-6 months
  • A cosmetic, temporary fix
  • A waste of money and time

Injection Only

  • Cuts the capillary path, but...
  • Existing moisture stays in the wall
  • No surface protection
  • Drying takes far longer

Dryvatec Triple System

  • Permanently cuts the capillary path
  • Forms a surface barrier
  • Drives moisture in columns and foundations into the ground
  • Prevents decay and structural damage

Three Layers Working Together in One Wall

The cross-section below shows how the three products work together in the same wall: moisture is cut off at the base, the surface is protected, and the water in the wall is sent back into the ground.

Triple system wall cross-section - 1) DampStop injection barrier, 2) HydroFix damp-proofing plaster surface layer, 3) Damp Box; moisture driven back into the ground

1

A Barrier at the Base

The DampStop injection creates a hydrophobic barrier at the base of the wall; capillary water rising from the ground stops at this point.

DampStop Injection
2

Protection at the Surface

HydroFix damp-proofing plaster builds a waterproof yet breathable layer on the wall surface, preventing plaster and paint from blistering.

Moisture Sent Back to the Ground

The Damp Box reverses the orientation of the water molecules already in the wall, so gravity carries the moisture back into the ground.

Damp Box

The condition for a definitive solution: For a permanent result against rising damp, the injection, the damp-proofing plaster and the Damp Box must be applied together. Applied on its own, each step solves only one layer of the problem.

1 First Stage

DampStop Injection

DampStop D101 Concentrate is injected into holes drilled at 10-15 cm intervals along the base of the wall. The silane/siloxane-based hydrophobic resin forms a permanent waterproof barrier inside the wall, cutting the capillary rise of moisture within 48 hours.

Concentrated formula: 1L of product + 9L of water = 10L of ready-to-use material
For all wall types: Brick, aerated concrete, stone, fire brick, concrete
Odourless & eco-friendly: Solvent-free, safe to use in occupied spaces
DIY-friendly application: No professional equipment needed — it can be applied with a funnel

2 Second Stage

HydroFix Damp-Proofing Plaster

The cement-based, two-component HydroFix Damp-Proofing Plaster is applied to the wall surface with a trowel. It cuts capillary water penetration, permanently preventing plaster and paint from blistering. Thanks to its breathable microporous structure, it lets the moisture inside the wall evaporate.

Applied in 2 coats: Min. 5mm thickness, second coat applied in the opposite direction
High adhesion: 10 N/mm² bond strength, no shrinkage
10kg bucket: Covers ~5m² in a single coat, ~2.5m² in two coats
Paintable: Breathable paints can be applied after 7 days

3 Third Stage

Damp Box

The Damp Box emits a very low frequency electromagnetic field that acts on the structure of water molecules. It reverses the orientation of the water molecules rising through the capillary channels. The moisture already in the wall is carried back into the ground by gravity, taking part of the salts along with it.

Easy installation: Mount it on the wall with 2 anchors, plug it in and let it run
Low energy: 3-5 Watt consumption — less than a light bulb
Wide coverage: 6 different models covering a radius from 7m up to 32m
Safe & maintenance-free: CE certified, harmless to people and pets, 30-year warranty

Step-by-Step Application

The triple system applied on site in 10 real steps, from identifying the damp wall to mounting the Damp Box.

1Identifying the damp wall
Preparation

Damp Survey

The height and spread of the damp are measured and a work plan is drawn up.

2Removing the damaged plaster
Preparation

Plaster Removal

The damaged plaster is stripped to above the damp line to expose the surface.

3Drilling the injection holes
DampStop

Drilling

Holes are drilled at a set angle and depth along the base of the wall.

4Hole layout at 10-15 cm intervals
DampStop

Hole Layout

A regular row of holes is created at 10-15 cm intervals.

5Preparing the DampStop mix
DampStop

Mixing

The mix is prepared from 1 part concentrate + 9 parts water.

6Injecting DampStop into the holes
DampStop

Injection

The mix is slowly injected into the holes with a funnel.

7Filling until saturation
DampStop

Saturation

The holes are topped up until the wall reaches saturation.

8Sealing the holes with repair mortar

Unit Installation

The Damp Box is mounted on a load-bearing wall and switched on.

From a Damp Wall to a Healthy, Sound Structure

Once the triple system is complete, the wall dries out, the stains and mould disappear, and the space becomes healthy and liveable again.

WHY WE CALL IT THE "TRIPLE SYSTEM"

DampStop and HydroFix stop rising damp in surfaces such as brickwork and walls. The Damp Box then drives the damp and moisture in the columns and foundations back into the ground, eliminating damp throughout the entire building. So you protect not just your wall but your whole structure: the decay that advances with damp stops, and the risk of a moisture-weakened structure wearing down or being damaged in an earthquake is minimised. That is why we call it a triple system, not a single product.

BEFORE Before the application - a stained, mouldy wall caused by rising damp
Damp stains, mould, blistering paint and a musty odour
AFTER After the application - a dry, clean, freshly repainted healthy wall
A dry, clean, repainted wall with a permanent solution in place

Installation Rules

Correct installation means maximum performance.

1

Mount it at least 1.50 m away from any electronic device.

2

Position it between 25 cm and 1 m above floor level.

3

Mount it directly on a load-bearing wall of the building.

4

The Damp Box must be permanently connected to power.

5

For best performance, mount it in the central area of the building.

6

The mounting location must not be changed. Check that the LED is lit.

Tips to Speed Up Drying

Follow these steps for maximum performance.

Stripping the Plaster

Damaged coatings on the lower part of the walls should be stripped to about 10 cm above the damp line. This lets the wall breathe while it dries.

Ventilation

Good air circulation speeds up drying. Leave a gap of at least 1.5 cm under doors and fit ventilation louvres to the windows.

Repair & Paint

Once the walls have dried, brush off the salts. Re-plaster using structural repair mortars. Choose breathable (water-vapour permeable) paints.

In the triple system the damp barrier takes effect immediately; how fast the wall dries depends on the weather, the wall thickness and the coatings. (When the Damp Box is used on its own, complete drying can take 6-12 months.)
